I'm thinking about starting a complicated costume for A-kon. I am nervous. I don't know if I'll have enough time to make more than one costume if I start on this. Thank goodness Ray's roommate is going to A-kon. That's two days I can wear Yumichika and not have to push the effort button. People freak out when they see the two of them together, so I don't have to make any extra effort to get that costume recognized.
I think I've been a little frustrated with how the fandom has changed over the years. I'm not interested in the same things the average Tx con goer is interested in. So, unless I do something like Bleach or Naruto, no one recognizes the costumes. It makes me sad because it emphasizes how little I have in common with other fans nowadays. I guess that's why I kind of fell out of it, too. I'm not going to travel the country looking for that one convention where everyone recognizes what game/series every one of my costumes came from. I'm going to go to what's close.
This complicated one I'm thinking about starting.. lots will recognize it. Not because people are playing FFVI anymore, but because Kefka's in dissidia. Oh well! I need to find a clip of Kefka's laugh and put it on my cel phone so I can play it over and over again when I'm in costume. Epic.
I'm getting a lot of vaccuming done. I think I filled half a trash bag with furballs from the corners of various rooms. His fur just got everywhere! I want it all cleaned up and gone. I have pictures, and that's enough. I don't need to be staring at his fur everywhere. It's still in a lot of clothing, and it'll probably be a year or two before I just stop seeing it everywhere I look. I need to take the Mr. Sticky to the curtains yet. I vaccumed them, but it didn't get it all. The green curtains in the computer room need to be washed, too. I still have so much to do.
Nugget still doesn't seem to notice or care that she is the only cat in the house. She probably only notices that she is hungrier now that she can't chow down on Senpu's food. Nugget is... not smart.
I'm playing Atelier Meruru right now, since Atelier Ayesha comes out in a few weeks. I heard the release for Ayesha is going to be really bad sine TecmoKoei took over and scrapped the Japanese voice tracks& only dubbed a few chunks of the English game. How sad! I will still play it, probably. I've really enjoyed the PS3 Atelier games. We'll see how this next one is.
I think Ray goes back down to Austin within the next month or so. He's been living with us almost 6 months now while they try to fix this Bellmead store. I've enjoyed having him around, even if everything he touches is greasy, he makes a huge mess, and leaves tubs of candy sitting everywhere.
Doing some costume research. Came across this. Wow! Should I do this version instead?!?
