Last update before the convention

Yesterday I got everything done that I was expecting to do. This means I still have the tunic to finish. I will work on that today. With any luck, it'll be wearable. I'm not 100% certain I'll get the frill on the top of the band done, but I'm sure as hell going to try. I may stop by the Bernina store and see if they ever got my ruffler foot in. I don't know. Part of me just wants to finish and drop the machine off and see WTF is going on with the tension.

So yesterday, I had to re-sew the boots many times. They aren't perfect, but they are satisfactory. I'm not 100% happy with them, but they'll work. They feel good, and I think I can walk around all day in them. I'll be bringing a lot of hello kitty bandaids in case I need to protect my heels from blisters. I also finished the quiver. It's pretty lolworthy since it's made out of a stretch of PVC pipe, but it looks pretty good. I still need to stick some foam into the bottom so when I put the short kid's arrows in there, they'll stick out a little bit. I also want the foam there so that they stay in place and don't fall out. Floral foam would be best, even though it's messy. I don't have any, though, so I'm going to hack up furniture foam. Another option would be batting, but I don't want it coming loose and getting out.

Anyway.. gotta hit the bike here in a little bit. I'll bike to Criminal Minds, get my shower in, and work on that costume. I have to run errands in the afternoon, and do a TON of packing, so my goal is finishing sooner rather than later. I also need to do the dishes, run a load of denim, and scoop cat litter. SO MUCH TO DO. I wish I had another weel :( (Though, if I had a FULL week, I'd probably be tempted to make another costume for no reason)
