I will be concentrating on word choice, redundancy (of which I has some. lol), making sure there is somthing meaningful and plot-pertinent in all scenes, adding where I feel it needs fleshing out, cutting where I feel it's unnessesary or too wordy, etc. Some of this, I definitely wanted a test reader's feedback on before I started. Unfortunately, only one of the two people I sent it to got back to me about it. It gives me some things to work with, but since he's ESL, there were a few things he told me that I took with a grain of salt. I really with the other guy had gotten around to reading my (pathetically short) novel, because I read his!
I'm over that. Right now is time for working! Since I won't be holding myself to AS strict a word count schedule this year, it shouldn't effect me going out and doing things like it did last year. I just need to finish. I am hoping that if I try to stick to the traditional word count schedule, I can finish the end of the story in the next 2-3 days, and then I can spend the rest of the month on revision and re-writing small segments. If you've been waiting a year to read this already, wish me luck!
