So I haven't posted in a while for a pretty good reason

Everything makes me want to puke XP I got my new regular lenses popped into my old frames a few days ago, and I am having an incredibly difficult time adjusting to them. This is... day 3 I think? I've worn glasses since about 3rd grade, so it's not like I've never had to adjust to new lenses before. I remember there being times I've walked out of the optometrist's office only to have the ground look like it was surging up and down in waves. I am not having that problem this time, though. Everything is crisp and sharp, and I don't seem to see any weird waves going through things, but I've been getting terrible migranes ever since I got them. (I feel that I should mention I have not used this as an excuse to get out of exercizing.. still doing it every other morning. Just using it as an excuse not to clean. I take my glasses off for the exercize bike, but I like to see where the knives are going in the dishwasher)

My eyes feel like ramrods are being pushed behind them from the top of the socket, and my head is aching... I'm nauseous and having hot flashes while feeling vaguely motionsick, and I've been extremely light sensitive. All classic hallmarks of how my typical migrane headaches are, except this goes away when I take my glasses off for 30-45 min. It seems like it's been a little better today, but I still haven't been able to do much around the house. It seems to get worse when I'm walking around or moving my head. I emailed my optometrist about it to see if it's a problem. If I'm just supposed to bear it until it goes away, that's fine, but if I'm supposed to get the lenses checked or somthing, I'd rather do it sooner than later. This is no fun. Already, I can feel it starting to come back since sitting down at the computer to type this XP

I wasn't really having this problem with the sunglasses I got last week, but I wasn't wearing them for extended periods of time either. Blaaaahhh

So.. I did laundry today, and I'm brewing a huge pot of cold mugi-cha for later, and thinking about what to cook for dinner. I may have to take my glasses off and sit someplace dark for an hour before I do the dishes or make dinner though.

In other news, I'm totally bored of Dissidia 2 and playing the "new" Tactics Ogre. I thought it was a remake of Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen because I can't keep my games straight. After 10 hours of playing this game on the PsP, I thought to myself "Damn, I really don't remember any of this.. and I LOVED that game."

Yeah, turns out the PSP port is a totally DIFFERENT game. Awesome! The SNES version was never released over here, but the PSX port apparently WAS, and is going on Ebay for crazy ammounts. The price will go down a bit now that it's available on PSP though. I can't imagine that many collectors buying up those old copies just to have them. The only reasons I was ever interested in those old expensive games was because the games were GOOD.. and we usually bought them right when they came out. (Suikoden 1&2 holla!)... Speaking of which.. Pretty much every damned thing under the sun has been ported over to PSP, but the Suikoden PSX games have not. WTF mate.

I have so much food in my fridge I don't really know what to do with it all. I'm pretty clever with leftovers, though. We got a free pre-cooked brisket from HEB, but we only ate maybe a quarter of it. The rest all ended up in the fridge. Matt seems content to eat brisket sandwiches forever with dad's BBQ sauce, and that's fine.. but I have plans! I bet I could make some awesome enchiladas with some of the leftovers. I just have to go to the store. I also want to try a Bolognese recipie I saw on Kitchen Boss a few days ago, but I don't have any of the ingredients for that. It's all basic stuff, but since we don't have a large family to feed, I don't just keep 2 lbs of raw ground meat and a bunch of random fresh veggies in the fridge. It'd all go bad before we could use it all.

The bolognese recipie seemed really simple.. you sweat a diced onion, 2 diced carrots,a nd 2 diced stalks of celery in some olive oil for a while.. then add a pound of ground pork and a pound of ground chuck and let it simmer slowly. You arn't browning anything.. should be really simple. After that's al cooked up pretty well, you add a can of crushed tomatos and let it simmer into oblivion. At the end, you add a little bit of nutmeg, and that's it. Top it off with a bunch of romano and mix it into some fettucini, and that's dinner. Sounds delicious! (Kind of surprised there was no garlic in there, though)

A cooking site I was looking at earlier today suggested shredding all the leftover brisket (no BBQ sauce) and making a beef ragu with it... basically just cooking it down with some onions and crushed tomatos to make a pasta sauce. It seems like there should be a bunch of other ingredients, but everyone that commented on it said it was awesome. It seems like I should start keeping a few cans of crushed tomatos in my pantry.

I also want tacos. That is all.
