The closet... it's full D:
I decided recently that my next big project should be cleaning up all my old costumes and hanging them in the closet where they belong. This has become problematic. THERE IS NO ROOM

Ahhh crap.

I always thought the sale threads that stated "Cleaning out closet" were kind of silly, but that was before I realized most of my costumes are on a pile in a suitcase on the floor, and not hung up in the closet. I should have anticipated this day would come eventually, but I seriously need to get rid of some stuff.

I suppose I ought to just make a list of the stuff I want to keep, and find a way to get rid of everything else. I think I should keep my 5 favorite/best fitting costumes, and get rid of everything else, regardless of the fit or how much I like them. I have to wonder who would buy some of my ghetto ass shit, though. I've been thinking about putting some ads up in the cosplay.com marketplace as opposed to using ebay. I suppose if they don't go through there, I can always try ebay later. At any rate... I think a healthy step towards cleaning and organizing my cosplay workroom will include cleaning out the closest of completed costumes.

Things I think I'll probably keep:

Millenia Grandia II ~~(if only for that wig alone)
Refia (Red Mage) Final Fantasy III ~~LOLHAT
Yu~ki (Le Ciel) Malice Mizer ~~Only worn once, a dream costume, must wear again
Cornelia (1st season) Code Geass~~Only worn it once, still fits great, never finished PVC cape
Queen Arshtat Falenas Suikoden V (Worn twice, still pretty new.. needs to be taken in again)
Kurotsuchi Mayuri Bleach ~~~ Still working on V2/Hueco Mundo arc costume. Need all the other peices
Norn Atelier Iris ~~Everyone loves this one, so why not

Uh.. that's it?

If anyone wants to take the opportunity to buy some ghetto-quality-yet-fabulous looking plus-sized costumes ranging from 16-18+ on the cheap, let me know. (further measurements available upon request)
My most comprehensive costume list is probably on cosplaylab. I have wholes and peices available, and if I didn't say I was keeping it, it's up for grabs. Just let me know.
Yes! That means I'm selling Gogo, Haibane wings, bloodberry peices, rabi~en~rose, even my princess buttercup dress from The Princess bride! D: Check out the retired section for more. If whole costumes are unavailable, I'll cut a deal on peices of costumes too :X
... I think there's even half a jedi costume in there from the Knights of the Old Republic 2 game release...

I had to upgrade to a "Cosplay Basement" T___T So I can understand the need to let go of some stuff! Looking back through your profile made me all smiles XD I hope you have luck selling!! :D

Most of it is totally ghetto-tastic, so I feel kind of bad selling it.. on the other hand, I'd rather sell it than throw it away. I can't throw them away!! D: Not even the super ghetto Street Fighter costume I made for halloween a few years back! (Izumi the ninja. I even made ninja hakama completely from scratch, and never too a picture!!. I've done two Izumis now!)

Edit: Scratch that. Her name is Ibuki. It's sad when I can't even remember WTF costumes I've made and who the hell the characters where. hahaha oh man XP

I need to do this too. XD

The opened up the market place on cosplay.com again, I know a few people who have sold costumes there. Don't worry about ghettotastic-ness, apparently those same friends have sold some ghettotastic stuff themselves. lol

This is so natuskashi~~~ when are we going to costume together again. *chu*chu*

I don't know, but I want to! I will have to find a time to go to a convention you guys go to, and make something that matches D: I have so much fun with group costumes. The Geass photos made me smile :D Mostly, though, I've been thinking more and more of just coming up there when you guys ARN'T going somewhere, and just hanging out/seeing the sites. You keep promising to take me to the drag queen waffle house, and I want to get up there so you can make good on that :X

Looks like it... before I take stuff and start putting it up on sale sites, you gotta let me know what you are interested in!

I don't remember you asking about costumes when you were visiting, or I would have totally taken you to the closet and let you go nuts. You must have been distracted >..>

The cape takes up too much room! That's the only reason I'd get rid of it.

On the other hand.. to sell it, I'd have to wash it, and I'm terrified that the pants will bleed together. It was black& white striped fabric, so I cut out the pattern and then dyed one leg red. It looks awesome, but it's gonna turn the pants pink...
I guess then I could use them for Tellah...

Don't get rid of Gogo!!!! I love that costume. I hope it bleeds all over when you try to wash it! There must be room somewhere in the house for that cape.
