But seriously. I weighed myself today for the first time since I started eating better.
I've lost about 6 lbs in a little less than a month!
This means in the month I've been eating better and lifting freeweights, I've lost more than I have with 1 year of Curves. Not only is that awesome, but it's also kinda sad in a way :X
I have no doubt that my gym membership has kept me from gaining any weight in the past year, which is awesome, but it wasn't dropping the weight like I wanted it to. I think I will keep going, because last night's amazing 15 minute performance on the bike at home reinforced the fact that if I'm left to my own devices, I'm more likely to fart out in the middle of cardio. When I'm at the gym, I have no choice but to keep going until I'm done, or quit early and feel like a tard.
6 lbs is great for me! If I can keep this up, I should have no problem dropping 30 lbs by August. (Some of you may remember that my original goal when I joined Curves last April was that I wanted to drop 30 lbs by Animefest. I didn't even end up going to Afest due to unrelated circumstances, but I didn't drop any weight...)
Must.. stay.. motivated!
Oh! And I also bought tickets for Matt& I to go up to Dallas and see the Offspring concert with Tania next month. I could totally be another 6 lbs lighter by then. Whoah!
