She called me back and told me I should skip :( It wasn't really the answer I was looking for. I slept on my neck wrong or somthing and it was totally sore today, so lethargy won out and I skipped the whole day with no intention of making it up. Reflecting on it later, I felt only slightly bad, but realized that since I've been waking up around 11 regularly, if I wake up early tomorrow, I *could* make the day up and go Sat morning before noon. We'll see what happens.
I was feeling really bummed out about how horrible I've been eating lately too. It hasn't been an excessive ammount of fast food or anything.. but it's just been whatever's lying around. A few cans of veggies for dinner one night, a batch of drop biscuits from a packet the next... It's not balanced. It's like.. random crap I can scratch together out of non-perishables. So, tonight I decided to cook a batch of sushi rice and roll it up in some nori. It's not really orthodox, but I do like making onigiri with canned tuna for filling, so I decided to just roll up some tuna in there too XD Hey, I think it's great. And in my mind, it's quite a bit healthier than grabbing for whatever weird crap is sitting around. Well, more balaced at least. You can argue a can of green beans, a can of corn, and a boiled potato probably have less calories. Anyway...It's been forever since I've made rolls, though. They're super sloppy, but they taste good.
I remembered the last time I saw my dad in Houston, he gave me a full set of sushi platters. They're really pretty, but I haven't had a large group of people over for a sushi party in a long time, so I haven't had a chance to use them. The last time I did somthing like that, we did tempura and all sorts of exciting stuff, but I didnt' have the platters then :P
Since they're so pretty, and my dad made them entirely from scratch, I thought I'd post a few photos with the last of my dinner on one of them :P
