I need to finish this today so I can work on shaping the foam to my face for the cowl, and actually make the cowl tomorrow. If I can get in touch with Celine, there's a good chance I only have 3 more days to work on stuff.

I still don't know what this costume is, but it's ridiculously awesome so far.

It's some crazy guy from Bleach. I've cosplayed him before, but he recently changed outfits! So I decided I had to do that. There's also a prison-bitch verson in the manga that I'm going to do if I have enough time to make two cowls. It'll be great!!

Holy CRAP!!!

That is possibly the most awesome cosplay item I've ever seen.

How did you do this??

Well, since you asked... XD

So far I've gone through half a can of 3M universal spray adhesive, and two bottles of fabri-tac :O

I started with one of those long rolls of upholstery foam, and cut out two long triangles. I hand-stitched the edges together to make two long cones that looked a lot like bugels snacks. Then I pushed jewelry wire into the foam on either side of the seam, so I could bend them. This let me make the basic horn shape. I actually folded the top down completely, and stitched it to the cone where it touched to make the curved part at the top. Then, I used the spray ahesive on craft foam, and cut long strips of blue craft foam to cover the upholstery foam. I wanted somthing sturdy I knew I could stick the hair extension to, and I wanted somthing blue to hide gaps in the extensions without having to spray-paint the whole thing blue. That ruins flexibility. The glue ruins flexibility too, but not so much that I can't work with it. I also used about half a bottle of aquanet and half a bottle of wig hair spray/conditioner while I was working with the extensions. That was one of the worst parts, easily.

The gold bits are casa satin glued over craft foam that I heat-moulded to my face.

That's amazing. I admire your patience and creativity so much, I can't even tell you. I'm just sitting here looking at the photo and reading the description and shaking my head.
