Here is the recipe for the one that I always make.

1 pound filo sheets
1 1/2 melted unsalted butter

1 pound walnuts (I have always used pecans)chopped
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

1 cup honey
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
2 tablespoons lemon juice
lemon rind

butter every other sheet. After about every six sheets putting filling. Should end with at least four to six sheets on top. Cut into diamonds. Don't use all of the butter between sheets, need at least a half cup which is cooked until golden brown then poured over the cut baklava.
Bake on center rack at 350 for 30 min. then reduce temp to 300 for another 30 min.
While baking, make syrup cook all ingredients until syrup has slow boiled for about 20 min. stir constantly. Pour over baked baklava when it comes out of the oven.

Let me know if this turns out!

Love Mom
