Pets, house, other boring stuff to show the world hasn't ended yet.

I think we've been doing a pretty good job of keeping the house clean lately. I think, in part, it's because I haven't made anything since Arshtat.
I do want to continue to sew, etc. I have too many fabric remnants not to. I just need to figure out somthing I can do with them all.
I'm thinking about making a cloth runner for my dresser. Back when we bought the house, we went furnature shopping, and Matt bought be a beautiful carved dresser. It's a really long one, and not too tall. I think it's one of the ones you buy a hugeass mirror to put on top of :P But we didn't do that. Anyway, I have this really long dresser that gets cluttered up really easily by random crap. For a while, it was piled two feet high with cosplay shit. I've done a pretty decent job of cleaning it up, though, so it now only has slightly smaller piles of shit. I'm thinking about taking a bunch of the higher-quality cosplay remnants and making a long 70-inch runner for it with tassels on the ends, etc. I have a lot of really pretty oriental-styled brocades lying around that I was thinking about cobbling into some quilted, trimmed, beaded masterpeice. It would be an ongoing project, since I know nothing about quilting. There's no sort of deadline, so I think I could make it retardedly gorgeous. I have enough various colors that I could probably make some sort of pattern or landscape or design or somthing out of fabric scraps. I'll figure somthing out. In the meantime, it's the sort of thing I'll procrastinate on horribly because I have no direction. Once I figure out exactly what I'm doing, I'll be able to get it started, get absorbed in it, and get finished in no time.

When my little brother came to visit, he got a ton of yardwork done. And coupled with the massive ammount of work I got done last month, the yard is looking pretty nice. When it starts getting colder again, I may get ambitious, buy some gardening gloves and a trowel (even though I don't use it, I think it would be blasphemous to use my excavation trowel XD ) and weed out the beds of spider grass a little. I love the grass/bushes/whatever the hell that crap is, because it looks nice, it's thick, and it doesn't grow to be really big. It's been there the whole time we've lived there, and maybe only become a little thicker. It hasn't changed much and it still looks good. There's a lot of weeds/saplings/etc coming in those beds now, though, and it would look nicer if they were neater. Same for where the hedges were that our freind Tony cleared out for us a few years ago.

I was going to say some other stuff, I'm sure, but I've forgotten all about it now and I'm wondering if the Warcraft servers are back up yet D:
If it's not, I might have to bite the bullet and go do more dishes XP

Yaaaay! The con is over! Time to get ready for the next one! Sometimes, twitter just cannot contain all the things I want to say about a subject.…

  • Oh wow, I haven't blogged in forever!

I kind of forget about Livejournal now. It feels so empty that I've joined a bunch of communities, but it's not really helping! Since November,…

  • November is almost over already?!?!

I've really enjoyed not having anything important to do for a while. I've been cleaning (a little bit), quilting (a lot, but in short bursts), and…
