I've been trying to get this T-shirt transfer to work, but I'm completely stumped. Since i'm using a poly blend, it doesn't like high heat. For the T-shirt transfer to work, I have to iron it on at very high heat& pressure. High heat burns my fabric. And I certainly can't leave it on high heat and high pressure very long.. which means the transfer won't stick properly. I don't know what to do, and I'm running out of time. I was just about to put the neckband on this thing and call it finished, too. I'm glad I hadn't painted the parts on the bottom yet. That would have been even worse.
I was thinking about making another transfer and trying it on a scrap of fabric first, but when it came down to it, I didn't do it, for whatever reason. now, to make it look nice, I have to re-cut two back panels.
I'm just thankful I bought lots of extra fabric. This is bad enough as it is. It would have been worse if I was out of fabric.
I still don't know how to make this work, though, and I can't free-hand that kanji, either. My calligraphy is horrible. I'm starting to wonder if I should give up on getting this done in time. Kimonos don't take that long to sew, but it's rather devistating that i have to re-make a garment.
