I sliced my finger open making dinner tonight. It's my right index finger, so it's reallyu screwing up my typing.
I was thinking about going to the hospital, but after I saw that I could keep it from gushing everywhere with a little direct pressure, I decided to use an old family secret to greivous wounds.. and superglued the surface of the skin to keep it shut. It's doing very well now.. but I still don't want to clack away on the keyboard too much. If this cut were anywhere else, I would expect it to leave a nasty scar. Fingers seem pretty durable, though, so I expect it to bounce back.

On the other hand.. this shitake-tofu miso I just made is very tasty D:
I would invite Puu or Malophyte over to tru some, but it's 11:21 PM :( They are both normal people now that probably keep normal hours, and wouldn't want wounded miso at almost midnight.
Still.. if either of you are up, and reading this, and want some.. call me D:

Oh yeah.. I was thinking about smearing my finger all over the inside of my Norn costume. I always manage to injure myself while making a costume... and every garment I make has a little bit of blood on it. I don't think I've bled on Norn yet, so I was thinking about it.. superstition, you know?
But I found a strange streak on one of the skirts that could have been a pinning-wound, so I figured my index finger was gushing far too much blood for it to be discreet, and left it at that.

Well.. uh.. come on over. I'll heat up leftovers XD
I have no idea if this stuff will keep or not.. but I see no reason for it not to. And I have way more than I can eat XD

you've made it this far and haven't bled on norn yet? o_o damn. I bled on big-white-sakura, but it was on the lining so it was o-kay. (I also broke three needles, which is a record for me. Even the vinyl STARS vest only broke two. XD)

no more bleeding, becky needs all her blood!

I think I mentioned somthing along these lines a few weeks ago...
but omg.. Norn is a freak of nature. Nothing has gone disasterously wrong with it yet, and I've done all the pattern drafting on it already, except for the poofy sleeves and the cape D:

I just bought a thimble today at Walmart! I was looking for buttons, actually, but just happened to see the thimbles beside them and was like OMG THIMBLE. I constantly poke holes in my finger while trying to force a needle through something very very thick (i.e. the 29348783 layers of thick material on that jacket). When push comes to shove (har har), the needle is more likely to go through my nice soft finger skin than the mound of fabric. I know all about bleeding on costumes!

I've tried using thimbles before, but they make no sense to me. They always feel weird, and I don't like working with them... probably because I rely too much on feeling where the pin comes through... and by that time, it's too late D:

Dude, I knew exactly where my finger was! The knife snuck up on me! D:
The whole thing didn't happen while I was cooking, but while I was cooking. :P
I know that doesn't make any sense, so let me explain D:
The food was still simmering when the cut happened, but it didn't happen while I was actually using the knife. It happened when I was trying to put it away >..< IT's a VERY sharp sushi knife.. and somehow when I was trying to put it back in it's box, the handle twisted, and the knife started to turn towards me. Paranoid that I would drop it and sever a toe or 5, (because it's so sharp if it puts even so much as it's own weight on an object, the knife slides right through)I instinctively put a finger out to balance it. Instead of touching the spine of the knife, though, I touched the blade, and the weight of the blade drove it into my finger, causing blood to gush everywhere :( IT was quite deep, and quite spectacular, and I'm STILL not quite sure how it happened, since I'm very careful while cutting things :(
