Taking a little breather
I had a really freakin' weird dream about Pinhead from the Hellraiser series last night... so to celebrate, I watched the first Hellraiser. I with I'd had the others.. I would have made a marathon of it. Pinhead's really freakin cool >..>

So.. I also watched Gothika today. It was... ok :/
It had sooo much potential to be a mind-fuck film, and it just really wasn't. It got to be really predictable halfway through the movie, and by the end I was watching with a boring expression thinking "wow.. I never saw THAT coming.." The first half really had my heart pounding, though. It sucks that they didn't mess with your head a little more at the end, though :(
Anyone who has seen it that wants to talk spoilers is welcome.
(I might take the time to mention here that I spent half the movie staring at Bernard Hill wondering why the hell his voice was so familiar. Hail Theodin, King of Rohan! XD )

I'm in the middle of watching the Legend of Suriyothai right now. It's really good.. but REALLY freakin' long. I'm not much on political intrigue.. so it's a little dull to me.. but it's a gorgeous film and pretty interesting despite the 30-40 people I think I'm supposed to be keeping track of XD It's period film about a time of civil unrest and unstable government in Thailand. I have no frickin' clue how long this is, but I've been sitting through it for a while, and I needed a break somthing fierce.

My cat... is pissing me off.
I need... more Hellraiser. I will sit through an hour and a half B-horror movie for 5 minutes of Pinhead. Yes, I will

RO Nonsense
Yes.. most of you don't play Ragnarok online.
I know most of you don't care.
But.. as I am currently pissed off with everyone in my main character's guild, I haven't had many people to share my good fortune with. Akuma and have had some excellent luck lately in finding rares. Some monsters drop really good stuff. Almost every monster in the game also drops a card with it's picture on it. These cards can be put in armor, weapons, etc to make them better. Each card does somthing different, and some are very, very rare, and can be sold for a lot of money.
Yesterday, Akuma and I found a Khalitzburgh card. We were able to sell if for 23 million zenny (currency in iRO) Most people are lucky to ever own 1 million. So.. we got really freakin' rich, and I was able to buy a silly headgear for my monk character that I've always wanted. A Blinker (blindfold) :) Now my monk runs around kicking ass blindfolded. Guess what that headgear does? It protects you from being blinded XD Who cares? It looks cool!

Anyway... shortly after that, Akuma found another Whisper card.. which is another really rare card that is probably fetching around 3 million on our server right now. Then, when I was partied with a freind, he found a mummy card.. another card worth over a million, and I found a Swordfish card. (To my knowledge.. not worth much.. but it's cool!)

Cards have a 1/10000 chance to drop. On the server of iRO that I play on, there is a double-drop rate.. but that still gives us only a ONE in five-thousand chance of finding a card. So that's pretty damned cool.

>..> Yeah. I know. Who cares. XP

IT's really not that bad. They took a really interesting topic and just raped it, though.. and the plotholes they leave in the end are so huge that you don't just fall in, they run over you and suck you up.
Like the other Dark Castle stuff (these are the same people that re-did House on Haunted Hill& 13 ghosts, but Gothika is an "original" from them) it's very stylish and the art aspects are pretty cool.

^^; I actually kind of liked Gothika, it reminded me of Silent Hill in a lot of ways. Although I agree, it really could have fucked with your mind more towards the end. The movie did drag towards the middle, it should have kept up the pacing it had in the beginning.

Hmm, so tempting to do a Mindfuck Horror fest again :3
Have you seen Hellraiser Hellseeker yet? Goooooood movie.

z.z I must pay for IRO so that I can play wiff Kyon! :3
I <3 Kyo rants

I honestly don't know. I know I've seen the first two... and I think I've seen the third. And I saw parts of one where they were in outer-space?? And I saw one that went into the history of the box w/this satanic toymaker.. but that might have been the same one as Pinhead in space.
Anyway.. the second one scared the crap out of me when I was younger.
I really want to do a marathon, though T..T

Gothika sucked ass
I saw that movie in the theaters..and I was hoping it would be all scarey so I can cuddle up to the guy that took me to see it..but I sat there and had to pretend to be scared...and that is really bad considering that almost anything can scare me......And what was up with teh ending??

As for Hellraiser..damn I wish I lived closer..I would have a marathon wiht you Ms.Kyo..Im all about the hellraiser..they scare me..but at the same time they are so interesting!!

Re: Gothika sucked ass
The second one really used to scare me when I was in Jr. high. There are still some parts in the first one that I don't like to watch.. like when the dad snags his hand on the nail XP
I used to be pretty easily scared by horror movies.. but not so much anymore. Every now and then I'll see one that really messes with my head. (House on Haunted Hill scared me! I'm a dork!) But for the most part, I don't think they're that creepy anymore.
