To take my mind off things, I've been doing the following things in the following order:
~~Forgetting my work schedule and coming in the wrong day
~~Playin Disgaea (Akuma was playing FFTA and I wanted to play a strat game, too. Made me want my Disgaea)
~~Playing FFTactics Advance (Akuma wanted to link up. The cartridge only has 2 save slots, and we usually use more than one. We couldnt' share this game, so I bought one for myself. This way, I get to play it too, and we get to link together)
~~Playing Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. I have 12-15 hours on it, and I'm afraid I'm getting dangerously close to the end. It's not bad. It's really different from any other FF game. I'm having fun with it, even though it looks like it might be a little short. The way they designed the multiplayer interface is REALLY cool, though. It has a cool plot, nice characters, and neat things to do. The graphics look spectacular. The gameplay is great, and switching between items and spells while moving is super-easy. Everyone hates it.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The short version:
The world is engulfed in a toxic space fart that kills people who are exposed to it. To protect yourself, you have a huge trippy space crystal in the middle of the village, but if it stops shining, the fart will take over your village and kill everyone. You have to join a caravan to get the magical purifying goo to smear all over the crystal and protect your village from the space fart for another year. You carry a mini-trippy-crystal in your cart next to the giant round hippo-thing and search for magic-goo. This keeps the space fart away while you are running around looking for the goo.
This alone is really cool for multi-player games, because it gives your entire party incentive to stay together, and you get less people fighting over which direction they want to go in. The space fart is toxic. It's all around you, and it will kill you if you don't stay around your mini trippy crystal :P
In any case.. it's pretty darn cool, and I'd like to play it in multiplayer mode some time. Oh yeah.. the other cool thing about multiplayer- Each person plays on a GBA/GBA SP. All your menu crap is handled there, so you don't slow down the party on the main screen. It sounds really cool. Can't wait to try it.
