Holy crap. It's snowing.
The world is ending!

Woah... I don't suppose it's snowing in Austin, too??
The Ten Thousand Thingskhet_tcheba on February 13th, 2004 10:54 am (UTC)
Nope. There was a bit of rain/sleet earlier, but it's since melted. We never get snow here!

Hmm... I heard about the rain/sleet.. But that sucks that there's no snow. We did get snow last year in Austin, tho!

Okay, according to the radar loop, there is a big chunk of snow headed this way. I'll believe it when I see it, but...dude!

Well, you posted about sleet before it started snowing here, and we're farther north. I would have assumed that snow would be moving SOUTH XD So maybe you'll get it? I don't know. My brother lives in San Marcos, and called shortly after it stopped snowing, saying they were getting it there, but it wasn't sticking and the roads were getting icy. You might just get our leftover slush :P

Mmmm...leftover slush. XD

According to the UPS man, a lot of people are getting twitchy and closing shop early. Nothing has even HAPPENED yet. The storm system looks like it's moving northeast, so whatever you're getting is probably a slightly different system.

^^;; Well, that should be fun. I just moved from Austin in June... *looks outside window* There's about two feet of snow here.

Yikes! That should be a huge change! The snow we got last year (if you can call it that) was the first this town's seen in a while. Sounds like you're getting dumped on up there!

I do miss the snow, though. ;_; Well, so long as I don't have to drive in it. >_>

:O DFW is too polluted for snow! :P
Seriously, though, we didn't get to keep it :( It was enough to cover the deck, and then it started melting right away. I should have taken a picture. It would have lasted longer XP

lol. It has to be colder than that for the snow to stay. XD

Austin update: it's snowing now. quite a bit, actually. Overpasses are closed off and whatnot. I'd say on the ground it's about 2 inches thick in some places, and I think it's only been going about 3 hours.
