I don't know why, but I feel really warm right now. Not so good. I got the front brocade panels put together with some interfacing. I need to back it with lining, but I'm debating using the dress satin or buying some lining material. I think the second would be a good idea.. simply because I don't know how much I'll use on the modified bodice, and how much I'll use on the skirt. Maybe I shouldn't finish the bodice until I have the skirt done. That way, I'll know exactly how much I have.
But I hate leaving peices unfinished. It would make me feel so much better if I finished the bodice completely.
One thing I'm happy about: I don't have to hem ANYTHING on the bodice! yay!
The lining is going to take care of the top edge, there are sleeves on it, and the skirt is attaching to the bottom. No hems!
I'm a little concerned about the top seam where the lining is going to connect. I think it will be kind of difficult to make it look good. I was hoping to get the whole outer bodice assembled tonight, but because of the delay of senior iron, I don't think that's going to happen.
And those damn wrinkles arn't staying out.
This will be tricky, I think.
